The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association has been serving marketing professionals for over 70 years. We were organized as the Houston Business Forum in 1949 and affiliated with the AMA effective July 1, 1954.
AMA Houston is the area’s largest and most active professional marketing organization and one of the largest chapters in the nation. We help marketers to remain competitive in today’s business environment through networking events, special interest groups, and real-world educational programs.
A legacy of
excellence
The American Marketing Association includes more than 70 professional chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Each year, professional chapters are encouraged to submit a Chapter Excellence Award application. The Chapter Excellence Award judges chapters on programming excellence, membership recruitment and retention efforts, leadership capabilities, and numerous other factors.
Since 2004, AMA Houston has taken home the top honor eight times – besting all other AMA chapters. In other years, we received Silver or Bronze recognition, further solidifying AMA Houston as among the best Chapters in the U.S. and Canada.
